Where is Credit Professional Services in Houston?
Our Houston office is the one shown on Google for Credit Professional Services, and the card on this page carries its address, phone line and map exactly as that listing has them. Most clients never need to visit: the consultation, the report review and the follow-up all happen by phone, so a call to 832-344-9402 is the quickest way to start.
Houston is also where most of our Texas questions come from. A large share of the city rents, and rental applications are where a stray collection or a duplicated late payment tends to surface first. That is the kind of entry we look at closely.

What does credit repair with Credit Professional Services look like?
It looks like a tracker, not a promise. Every disputed entry gets a line, a bureau, a date sent and a status, and you can see which items came back corrected, which came back verified and which are still open. The sample on this page is an illustration, not a client file.
Example: a paid collection still shows a balance on one report but a zero balance on the other two. That mismatch is worth a dispute. A credit card that was late in 2023 and is reported late once, correctly, is not, and we would tell you so.
- One line per disputed entry
- All three bureaus side by side

- Accurate items marked as staying
Which entries does a credit repair review look at first?
We start with the entries that most often carry a factual mistake, because a dispute only works when something on the report is actually wrong or cannot be backed up. In order, a first review usually covers:
- Personal details. Names, addresses and employers you do not recognize can point to a mixed file or identity theft.
- Collections. Balances, dates and the original creditor, compared across all three reports.
- Late payments. The month and the number of days late, checked against your own statements.
- Account status. Accounts reported open that you closed, or still owing after a payoff or settlement.
- Dates that decide reporting time. The start of the delinquency, which sets how long a negative entry may stay.
- Hard inquiries. Applications you do not remember making.
Each entry ends up in one of three groups: possibly wrong, possibly unverifiable, or accurate. Only the first two get disputed. Read how a credit report review works for the account-by-account detail.
Credit repair on your own, with us, or with a company to avoid
You can fix a reporting error without paying anyone, and the FTC lists the habits of companies to stay away from. This table sets those side by side with the way Credit Professional Services works.
| Question | On your own | Credit Professional Services | FTC warning sign |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost to dispute an error | Free with each bureau | The first consultation is free and commits you to nothing | Wants payment before helping |
| Contact with the bureaus | You write to them yourself | We tell you to keep in touch with them and check their answers with you | Tells you not to contact the bureaus |
| Accurate negative items | They stay | We say so plainly and do not dispute them | Asks you to dispute things you know are true |

Why do credit reports matter so much to Houston households?
Credit reports decide more than loans in a city where most homes are rented. In Houston, 57.9% of occupied homes are rented, and 54.1% of renters pay 30% or more of their income on rent, which leaves little room when a bill runs late. Landlords, lenders and some employers read the same three reports.
- Houston residents
- 2,328,253
- Median household income
- $64,813
- Median gross rent
- $1,361 a month
- Median home value
- $277,800
The median Houston home was built in 1982, the median resident is 34.4 years old, 19.9% of residents live below the poverty line, and the unemployment rate stands at 6.9%. A younger, renting city tends to have thinner credit files, where a single wrong entry carries more weight.

What do Texans complain to the CFPB about?
Mostly about wrong information. In 2025 the CFPB received 700,046 credit reporting complaints from Texas, and the most common issue named was incorrect information on a report. The ZIP code around our Houston office, 77055, sent 928 credit reporting complaints. The CFPB does not verify complaints, and the counts are not a measure of how often errors happen.
| Complaints received in 2025 | Texas | ZIP 77055 |
|---|---|---|
| Credit reporting, all issues | 700,046 | 928 |
| Incorrect information on your report | 382,173 | 580 |
| Improper use of your report | 166,227 | 255 |
| Problem with a company's investigation | 145,850 | 87 |
| Debt collection | 52,854 | 23 |

What will Credit Professional Services not do?
We will not dispute an entry we believe is accurate, ask you to dispute something you know is true, suggest you apply under a different identification number, or tell you to stay away from the credit bureaus. We will not promise a score, a deletion or a date, because the bureaus and the companies that report to them decide the outcome. We also do not sign anyone up over the phone.
Federal law already gives you the core tools for free: a dispute with any bureau, a reinvestigation at no charge, and three business days to cancel a credit repair contract. Read your rights under the Credit Repair Organizations Act before you work with any company, including ours.
Credit Professional Services offices and phone lines
Besides Houston, Credit Professional Services has offices listed on Google in seven more cities, and three more cities have their own pages and phone lines.
Can you learn credit repair before paying for it?
Yes, and we would rather you did. Our credit repair education library explains how reports are built and how disputes move through a bureau. Start with what affects your credit score, then read how credit counseling differs from credit repair and how to judge a credit repair company. Building from nothing? Questions people ask Credit Professional Services
What kind of company is Credit Professional Services?
Credit Professional Services is a credit repair company. We read your Equifax, Experian and TransUnion reports with you, point out entries that look inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable, and prepare disputes for those entries if you decide to work with us. We are not a lender, a credit bureau or a law firm, and nothing we say is legal advice.
Is Credit Professional Services a debt collector?
No. We do not collect debts, buy accounts or report anything to the credit bureaus. Some people reach this site while looking up a collection agency with a similar-sounding name. The company that is collecting from you is named on its letters and on your credit report, and you can dispute how it reports the account if the reporting is wrong.
Do I need to hire anyone to dispute a credit report error?
No. You can dispute an error with Equifax, Experian or TransUnion on your own, and the bureau may not charge you for the reinvestigation. The FTC puts it simply: disputing mistakes or outdated things on your credit report is free. People who call us usually want help reading the reports, organizing the paperwork and keeping track of replies.
How long does a credit bureau have to answer my dispute?
The Fair Credit Reporting Act gives a bureau 30 days, counted from the day it receives your dispute, to finish a reasonable reinvestigation. In some cases the law lets that period run for up to 15 more days. The company that supplied the disputed information must then investigate it and report its findings back to the bureau.
What happens during the free consultation?
We talk by phone. You tell us what you are trying to do, such as rent an apartment or apply for a car loan, and we go through your reports with you account by account. You hear which entries look disputable, which look accurate, and which steps you can take without paying anyone. You are not asked to sign up on the call.
Can you help me if I do not live in Houston?
Yes. Most of our work happens by phone, so where you live matters less than what your reports say. Credit Professional Services has offices listed on Google in eight cities, from Houston to San Francisco, and pages for many more cities we serve by phone. Our locations page lists them all, grouped by state.
Not sure what your credit reports say?
A consultation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We read the reports with you, point out entries that look wrong or unverifiable, and tell you which steps you can take on your own.
