Credit repair in Seattle, WA
Credit Professional Services does credit repair for Seattle residents by phone, reviewing each Equifax, Experian and TransUnion file and disputing only entries that are inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable. Most Seattle adults hold at least a bachelor's degree, and that usually means student loans: many separate accounts, several servicers and plenty of room for a reporting error.

Why is student debt the first thing we look at for credit repair in Seattle?
Because so many Seattle adults have it. The Census reports that 68.4% of residents 25 and older hold a bachelor's degree or higher. Degrees are commonly financed, and each loan can appear as its own line on a report, so a single mistake by one servicer can multiply.

Income here is high, with a median household income of $123,860, and that can hide the issue. People assume a good salary means a spotless file, then learn at a mortgage application that a loan transfer from five years back left a false late mark on every account.
Do you meet Seattle clients in person?
No; Seattle clients work with us by phone at 832-344-9402. Credit Professional Services has no office in Seattle. The first call is a free consultation with no obligation, and no one is enrolled on it. About 19.0% of Seattle households have no car, and a phone call fits that just fine.
What do we check first on a Seattle file full of student loans?
- Count the loans. We match the number of student loan lines to the loans you actually took out. Extra lines often mean a duplicate after a transfer.
- Status during pauses. Deferment, forbearance and paused periods should not carry late marks.
- Transfer months. The month a servicer hands off a loan is the most common spot for a stray late payment.
- Balances. A consolidated or paid-off loan should show the right status and no leftover balance.
- Collections on defaulted loans. Dates and amounts are checked against the seven-year rule for collection accounts.
Example: a hypothetical graduate has seven federal loans that moved to a new servicer. One month during the switch, all seven show 30 days late, though the payment cleared on time. The bank statement for that month is the proof, and each of the seven lines is disputed with it. The servicer and bureau make the decision; we keep the paperwork straight and read the results with you.

The CFPB does not verify complaints, so these are consumers' own accounts rather than confirmed findings.
Can Seattle residents fix credit report errors for free?
Yes. You can send a dispute to any bureau yourself at no cost, describing each error and including copies of your documents. The bureau then has to investigate, generally within 30 days, and pass the dispute to the servicer or lender, which must investigate too. Free weekly reports from each bureau make it easy to check your work. Our credit education articles cover the steps, and how the credit repair process runs explains where a company fits.
A credit repair company has to follow federal rules: a written contract, a separate statement of your rights, no charge until the work is fully performed, and three business days to cancel for any reason.
What we will not do: we will not dispute student loan lates that really happened, suggest a fake identity theft report to clear a defaulted loan, or tell you to stop talking to your servicer. We will not promise a score. Accurate loans stay on the file, and saying otherwise would mislead you.

Seattle student loan and credit questions
Why does each of my student loans show up as a separate account?
Federal and private student loans are often reported loan by loan, so one degree can produce six or eight tradelines. That is normal. The problem comes when a late payment is copied across every one of them, or when a loan transferred to a new servicer appears twice with a balance. Each account should be checked on its own.
My loans were in deferment but show late payments. Is that an error?
It may be. Months when you were in an approved deferment or forbearance, or when payments were paused, should not show as late. Gather the servicer's letters or account history showing the status for those months. With that proof, a dispute asks the bureau and the servicer to check the record. Accurate late months, outside any pause, stay.
Is there a Credit Professional Services office in Seattle?
No. We do not have an office in Seattle, and every Seattle consultation takes place by phone. The first call is free, has no obligation attached and never includes enrollment. You share your reports through a secure upload, and we read them together, account by account, before you make any decision about next steps.
Can someone improve my credit in Seattle quickly?
Be wary of anyone who says so. Disputes follow federal timelines: a bureau generally has 30 days to investigate, sometimes 15 more. The outcome depends on whether the information is wrong, and accurate information stays. Building a stronger history takes on-time payments over time. A company promising a quick change is making a claim the law does not support.
What is the difference between credit restoration and credit repair?
In everyday use there is none; both mean checking reports for errors and disputing them. What neither term can mean is wiping out accurate history. If a Seattle company uses either word, ask which specific entries it plans to dispute and on what grounds. A clear answer tied to evidence is a good sign; a vague one is not.
I am applying for a mortgage in Seattle. Does any of this matter?
Yes, because the loan amounts are large. The median home value in Seattle is $938,600, so the rate a lender offers works on a big balance. Student loan payments also enter the debt-to-income calculation. Making sure each loan's balance, status and payment amount is reported correctly before you apply is time well spent.
